OGA Policy Statement
OGA recently released a policy statement with regards to maintenance strategies on fiscal measurement systems. The update focuses on section 5.2 of DECC measurement guidelines where in section 5.2.4, it strongly encourages operators to consider abandoning time based strategies in favour of 'risk-based' or 'condition based' approach or strategy combining elements of each.
With this policy update OGA now takes the view that an approach combining ‘risk -based’ and ‘condition-based’ elements, rather than a simple ‘time-based’ approach, should now be adopted whenever possible. Where this approach is not already in place, Operators are invited to present their proposals for adopting such approach to OGA for review.
GCAS® features have cover both condition-based and risk-based elements in terms of GC maintenance. Please contact us at email@example.com to find out how we can help adopt condition-based / risk-based maintenance approach for your GC maintenance.
